I finally stopped listening to the old guys about breaking in a rebuilt engine
Everyone in my club in Dayton tells you to baby a fresh rebuild for 500 miles, but mine kept burning oil, so I ran it hard up a long hill on Route 4 at 3,000 rpm for 20 minutes and the rings finally seated. Anyone else find that a gentle break-in just glazes the bores instead?
