Pro tip: the $18 timing light I almost skipped buying saved my whole weekend
I used to just set points by ear on my old Chevy until a guy at a cruise-in in Fresno told me I was off by about 4 degrees. I finally spent $18 on a plain timing light and the car idles so smooth now I actually drive it to work. What cheap tool did you put off way too long?
