Swapped points for electronic ignition on my '72 Dart this weekend

I used to set points gaps by feel and a matchbook cover back in high school. Got pretty good at it, but the car always ran a little rough in the rain. Finally put in a Pertronix kit last Saturday, took about 45 minutes. Starts up instantly now and idles smooth. Anyone else make the switch and notice a big difference?

Best money I ever spent on an old Mopar. Night and day difference.

Did you use the same dwell setting after swapping? I only ask because @parker_foster53 is right that it's a good upgrade, but a lot of guys forget to reset the dwell angle or at least verify the air gap on the pickup. I ran into that myself the first time I did a Pertronix install. The instructions say to set the gap with the little card they give you, but I've found a .008 feeler gauge works better on these old Mopar distributors. If you didn't touch it after tightening the screws, you might still have a slight miss at higher rpms.
