Went to a car meet last week and noticed something weird about the engine bays

I was at a local meet in Cleveland and half the guys had these shiny new aluminum radiators in their old Chevelles and Mustangs. Not a single copper or brass radiator in sight. Has anyone else noticed the old-school parts are getting harder to find for 60s muscle cars?

It's wild how fast aluminum radiators took over, right? Guess the weight savings and better cooling performance just made copper obsolete for most builders. Same thing's happening with brake parts too, I keep seeing guys swap out their old drums for disc conversions at every show I hit.

Saw a guy at a swap meet last month pulling a perfect copper radiator out of an old Ford, said nobody wanted it because it's "too heavy" and doesn't cool as good... told him to hang onto it for a resto project. But yeah @betty_shah, the disc brake thing is huge now too, I remember when people thought swapping drums was a waste of money. Now you can't even give away a good set of rear drums at the parts house.
