Blew a deadline on my custom Wolverine sketch commission

I was drawing at my kitchen table last Saturday when my hand cramped up so bad I couldn't hold the pencil for an hour. Had to message the buyer and ask for an extra two days, but they were cool about it and even tipped me $10 for the honesty. Anyone else ever mess up a commission deadline and have the collector surprise you with patience?

And isn't it funny how being upfront about a screw-up usually works out better than trying to hide it? That extra $10 tip proves people respect plain honesty more than perfect timing. Seems like the world could use a lot more of that simple approach, you know?

Fr fr, totally agree. I once straight up told a customer I forgot their order and they ended up tipping me double.
