Dropped $60 on a fake Flash #105 at a flea market in Tulsa, still think about it
Back in 2018 I hit the Tulsa flea market on a Saturday and a guy had a longbox of old DC stuff priced to move. I paid $60 for what he swore was a real Flash #105, the silver age one with the gorilla cover, and I was grinning the whole drive home. Took it to my buddy who runs a shop in Broken Arrow and he spotted the reprint mark on the inside cover in about ten seconds. Lesson learned, but here is the thing, I still love that book because it got me back into hunting silver age stuff at shows. Anyone else got a fake that ended up kind of working out anyway?
