I bought a $200 replica of the Infinity Gauntlet and it almost got me arrested
So last month I saw this really cool metal Infinity Gauntlet online, a full size replica with light up stones. It was $200, which hurt, but I figured it would be the centerpiece of my collection. I got it delivered to my office because I'm never home for packages. Big mistake. I decided to walk the few blocks to my car with it on my hand, just to feel cool for a minute. I'm walking down the street in a business suit with this big gold glove, making a fist to make the stones glow red. A police car slows down next to me, and the officer gets out looking very serious. He thought, from a distance, that I was wearing some kind of dangerous robotic weapon. I had to slowly take it off, explain it was a toy from a comic book, and show him the battery compartment. He was cool about it, said it did look real from his car, and let me go with a warning. Has anyone else had a collectible cause a real world problem because of how it looks?

Almost got arrested" seems like a bit much.

Nah, it can happen fast. My buddy got stopped just for moving a couch out of his own apartment. Landlord called the cops saying he was stealing it. Had to show them the receipt and everything while his neighbors watched. Cops were cool once they saw the proof, but it was a whole thing. Makes you think twice about moving anything after dark, right?
