I finally brought up how our comic book talk is messing with work flow
My office crew gets really into debating which superhero movies got the comics right. These talks now eat up time we need for actual tasks. What's a polite way to cut back on fan chat without seeming like a killjoy?

Ever notice how small talk at work kind of snowballs? I mean, someone checks their phone for a second, then another person starts talking about a show, and suddenly half the morning is gone. It's like that with any hobby chat, comics or otherwise. Maybe try steering it to breaks by saying something like, "Okay, last take on this until lunch," so it feels like a pause, not a shut down.

Honestly it's just people talking. Not every chat needs a fix or a time limit.
