I finally get why my buddy in Detroit quit buying single issues, and now I'm torn on the whole pull list thing
He used to hit the same shop every Wednesday for like 9 years. Now he waits for trades and says he saves around $60 a month. Half of me thinks he's smart for cutting the clutter, the other half thinks he's missing the whole point of being in a comic book community, the weekly trips, the talk at the counter, spotting a variant before anyone else. What do you all think, is the pull list still worth it or is going trade-only the move now?
