I read comics wrong for 15 years until a guy at a shop in Fresno pointed it out
He watched me flip through a book cover to cover in about 3 minutes and said "you're reading the words, not the pictures" and I realized I'd been skimming every page just to get to the next speech bubble, so now I ask: does anyone else have to force themselves to slow down on the art?
Oh man, that hits home! I've done the same thing for years and honestly the fix for me was getting into artists whose pages look cool even without the words. Once you find one you actually want to stare at, slowing down just kind of happens on its own.
