Picked a Hernandez run over a Kirby reprint at the Chicago show and my wallet is happy
At the Chicago comic show on Saturday I had $40 cash and exactly two options on the table: a beat-up copy of a classic Kirby reprint or a clean full run of a Hernandez brothers series I'd been hunting. I went with the Hernandez run because the pages were bright and the seller knocked $5 off, and it was the first time in a while I didn't second-guess a purchase on the ride home. Has anyone else faced a pick between a big name reprint and a small press run like that, and which way did you go?
