PSA: I found a way to get my non-reader friend into comics
He only watched the Marvel movies, so I lent him the 'Hawkeye: My Life as a Weapon' trade paperback because it's so grounded and funny. Has anyone else had luck with a specific book that hooked a total newbie?

Solid choice with that Hawkeye run. Got my buddy into comics the same way with the 'Superman: Up in the Sky' book. It's just a simple, good story that feels like a movie.

Oh man, @noahhernandez, that Superman book is a perfect pick for new readers. I heard it's just a straight up great story.

Got my cousin into comics with the All-Star Superman book. It's got that classic feel but the art is next level and the story is so heartfelt without being cheesy. He was hooked after the first issue, kept asking when the next trade paperback was coming out. Simple stuff like that works every time.
