Rant: Pulling the trigger on a longbox over a shortbox for my collection

Back in like 2019, I had to pick between a standard shortbox or one of those big longboxes for my growing stack. I went with the longbox since I figured it'd hold more issues, maybe 300 or so. Man, that thing is a pain to move around my apartment, and lifting it to get at the bottom books is rough on my back. Now I'm thinking I should have just grabbed two shortboxes that I could stack and grab easier. Has anyone else dealt with box regret or found a better way to organize?

Man I had the exact same regret with my longbox last year. That thing weighs a ton once it's full and trying to flip through the bottom third is a workout I never wanted. I ended up just buying three shortboxes and splitting everything up, way easier on the back.

Three shortboxes is actually the way to go, you're right about that, but I think you meant long boxes hold about 300 comics and short boxes hold about 150, so you'd need two shortboxes to replace one longbox not three.
