Rant: took me 14 hours at Denver Comic Con to figure out why nobody wanted my X-Men #4
So I set up a booth at Denver Comic Con two weekends back and brought about 60 silver age books with me. My X-Men #4 sat there all day Saturday and nobody even picked it up, and I could not figure out why. I checked the price against three sold listings right there on my phone and I was actually $40 under everyone else. Finally a guy in a Cyclops shirt leans in and says 'bro nobody can see it, your mylar is so glarey it looks blank.' I flipped the case toward the light and yep, pure white reflection right over the whole cover. Moved it to a matte bag Sunday morning and it sold in 20 minutes. Has anyone else lost sales to glare on their slabs or is it just a me thing?
