Switched from poly bags to Mylar and it saved my Silver Age books

I used to keep my old ASM issues in regular poly bags. About 6 months ago I noticed the covers on my #39 and #40 were starting to curl at the edges. A guy at the local shop in Austin told me to switch to Mylar with full back boards. Now those same books lay flat as the day I got them. Has anyone else seen this difference with Mylar or is it just me?

curling at the edges" hit close to home man. I had a Fantastic Four #52 in a poly bag for years. Looked like a taco by the time I realized. Mylar saved it. The board makes a bigger difference than I thought too. The stiff cardboard keeps the spine from sagging. I switched all my key books over. No regrets.
