TIL my local shop has a 10 cent back issue bin that saved my wallet

Last Saturday I stopped by Big Jim's Comics on 5th Ave looking for a new run to follow, and he pointed me to a long box labeled '10 cent bin'. I spent an hour digging and walked out with 42 issues of early 90s X-Men titles, most with decent covers and readable pages. Has anyone else found gold in those discount bins, or is it usually just water damaged copies nobody wants?
