Took me 4 hours to find a 20 year old back issue at a con last Saturday

Went to the big show at the convention center near Springfield looking for a specific issue of a run I started collecting back in 2006. Walked every single aisle, asked maybe 12 different vendors, nobody had it. Finally one older guy in the back corner said he might have a long box in his car he never unpacked. He brought it up and there it was, issue 14, for 3 bucks. Four hours of wandering for one comic. Has anyone else had a hunt like that where you almost gave up and then it showed up in the weirdest place?

Ha! That reminds me of my buddy Kyle. He spent a whole weekend chasing a specific Wolverine issue for this podcast he was doing, checked every shop in three counties. Finally gave up and found it two weeks later in a bargain bin at a gas station mini mart, next to the beef jerky. He said it cost a buck and a half.
