Trying to find a specific issue of The Amazing Spider-Man from 1984 took me three days
I was trying to finish a run of the black suit era and needed issue 252. I checked every shop in my city, then went online. The problem was sellers kept listing it as 'first black suit' but that's actually Secret Wars 8. After sorting through maybe 50 wrong listings, I finally found a copy on a forum for $40. Has anyone else had this much trouble with a key issue because of a common mix-up?

Three days just for one comic book sounds like a nightmare.

@betty_park maybe it was just slow because the art demanded extra digestion time.

Right? A nightmare is the perfect way to put it. I once spent a whole weekend trying to get through a graphic novel that just would not click with me. Felt like homework by the end.
