Unpopular opinion: I used to think DC events were way better than Marvel events

After reading through house of X and powers of x last month i finally saw what everyone meant about smaller focused stories being stronger than the big crossovers, and now i actually get why my buddy has been pushing Hickman books on me for years, anyone else switch sides after a specific run?

Had a buddy who swore by Marvel for years, always made fun of me for being a DC guy. Then I finally got him to read the original 52 series from back in 2006-2007, the weekly one where they did something with all the B and C list heroes. He was hooked after the first month, kept texting me at 2am about how he never knew Booster Gold could be so good. Last I heard he was deep into Geoff Johns Green Lantern run and admitting DC had some bangers he missed. It's funny how one solid run can totally flip your whole view of a company.

Oh man, that 52 series is exactly what flipped me too. I was all Marvel all the time until a friend shoved that run in my hands and I couldn't put it down. Booster Gold and The Question became my favorite characters out of nowhere. Now I'm the guy texting people at weird hours about DC deep cuts. It really does only take one strong story to make you see a whole company differently.
