Unpopular take: I actually liked that reboot more than the original run

Someone at my local shop said the 2023 relaunch ruined the characters, but I think the pacing fix every issue made them way more fun to follow. Am I the only one who enjoys a cleaner origin over the messy 90s version?

Did the cleaner origin actually make you care more about the main villain, or was it just easier to follow?

Oh man, that's a fascinating take! The messy 90s version at least had that raw energy, but I feel like the reboot's pacing is kind of a godsend for anyone who just wants to get into the story without a flowchart. Maybe it's just me, but I keep coming back to how the cleaner origin actually lets the newer readers see the core of the characters without all the crossover baggage weighing everything down.
