Update: I just cataloged my collection and hit 1,000 single issues
It happened when I added a stack of old 'X-Men' books from a garage sale (you know, the kind with the 75 cent price stickers). I had no idea I'd crossed into four-digit territory, and it's got me wondering how other people organize that many floppies without losing their minds.

I read that long boxes are a real pain to move, @paulperry.

And here's the real trick nobody talks about - I stopped sorting by series or publisher years ago. Now I just organize everything by the year I bought it. If I picked up a 1987 issue of Amazing Spider-Man in 2021, it sits next to a 2021 issue of something else. Makes it way easier to remember what I actually own, and finding stuff is just a matter of knowing when I was into what. Plus it kills that weird completionist pressure to fill every gap in a run.
