Lost my mask at 60 feet off the coast of Galveston

Was working a repair job on a jetty support near Galveston last month when my strap snapped clean off. Popped up to the surface fast but my partner threw me his backup mask pretty quick. Had to finish the dive with a borrowed mask that kept fogging up. Has anyone else had a strap fail like that midwater?

Sixty feet is no joke. Had a cheap strap let go on me in 40 feet off Corpus and it was a pain.

Wait, @abby_martin28, didn't you just say your strap let go at 40 feet? That's still 20 feet shy of sixty, right? This guy was way deeper when his snapped.
