Shoutout to the crew that pulled a 14 hour day fixing a broken intake grate in the Columbia River last summer. We were all beat, but the sunset over the water made it worth it.

Sounds like a brutal way to earn a view. At least the river didn't charge you for the show.

Right? The river putting on a free show is the only good part. I once hiked for three hours straight uphill in the rain just to see a waterfall that was basically a trickle. My boots were full of mud and I was so mad.

That hike probably built character though, worth more than an easy view.
