Shoutout to the guy who talked me into a heated vest for cold water jobs

I was working a long job in Lake Michigan last November and the water was 38 degrees. Spent about $300 on a good heated vest that runs off my dive pack. It made a huge difference, I could stay down longer without getting stiff. Anyone else use something like this for winter dives?

What brand did you get, and does it hold up well?

Funny you ask about Carhartt, my brother got a pair of their bib overalls three years ago for ice fishing. That first winter he put them on and the zipper broke on like day two. He was so annoyed he just sewed it up himself with some thick thread and they've been fine ever since. Now he swears by them though my dad still gives him grief about it every time we go out on the lake. So I guess the answer is kind of mixed depending on who you ask.

Got a Carhartt jacket that's lasted five winters now.
