Warning: I keep seeing guys skip the pre-dive tool check on the barge.

Found a wrench with a stripped bolt head last week that could have jammed at 90 feet. My foreman in Mobile always said to spin every socket by hand before you go down. How many of you actually do a full tool inventory first?

Your foreman in Mobile was right, that spin check is a lifesaver.

I remember that foreman's rule about the spin check. It never sat right with me. On our site, it just added time without catching the real problems, like a bad thread we found by hand. Relying on it too much let a few bad fittings slip through. I've seen more issues from trusting that quick spin than from skipping it.

That foreman in Mobile, was he the one who pushed the spin check on every single joint? @stella627, what kind of leaks did you actually see it catch that a visual check missed?
