Downtown diner vs. taco truck, I picked the truck and never looked back
I used to hit the same diner near 5th and Main every Friday, $14 for a burger and fries that were just okay. Last month I tried the taco truck parked behind the old hardware store, 3 tacos for $9 and the al pastor has actual pineapple on it. The line took 15 minutes longer, but the salsa bar alone beats anything that diner has. Now I'm wondering if I'm missing other obvious wins, what's the best cheap swap you've made in your town?
