Found a tiny bakery in Asheville that sells day-old pastries for $2 and it hit me why I love this sub
Last Tuesday I walked past a place called Sweet Run Bakery on Lexington Ave in Asheville and almost missed it because there was no sign, just a chalkboard. The owner told me they sell yesterday's croissants and muffins for $2 each from 3 to 5pm, and I got a box of six for $12. What got me was that she said most people walk right by because they think it's closed since the lights are dim. I've been in Asheville for 8 months and I only found this spot because a guy at the hardware store mentioned it while I was buying a paint scraper. Now I'm wondering how many other cheap spots I'm walking past just because they don't look open. Has anyone else found a place that's basically invisible from the street but worth it?

Dim lights and no sign usually means good and cheap, not closed.
