Update: the tiny park behind the laundromat on Cedar went from trash heap to a real hangout in about 8 months
I walk past that little lot behind the laundromat on Cedar every morning, and last spring it was all broken bottles and a busted bench nobody touched. Around August a guy started showing up with a weed whacker and some paint, and by October there were two new benches and a couple of raised beds. Turns out a few neighbors got a small city grant, like $2,000, to clean it up themselves. Now there are people eating lunch there at noon and I'm wondering what other dead corners of town have gotten this same treatment. Where should I look next?
