Vent: Thought I knew my own neighborhood, then a dead end ate 40 minutes

I spent 3 weeks driving past that 'shortcut' on 12th and finally tried it yesterday, only to find it's been a one-way cul-de-sac since 2019, so now I'm the guy who stands on the corner telling tourists to just take the bus, anyone else waste a whole afternoon on a street that changed without telling you?
