Appreciation post: Writing a scene twice from two different viewpoints

I was stuck on a fight scene for 3 days, so I wrote it once from the father's side and again from the daughter's side in the same sitting. Picking the daughter's version gave me a fresh detail, a cracked picture frame on the mantel, that tied the whole chapter together. Has anyone else tried this swap when a scene goes flat?
