Finally finished a story I started 18 months ago
I wrote a 4,000 word short story about a family reunion at a diner in Omaha, Nebraska. It sat unfinished since March 2023 until last Tuesday when I forced myself to write the ending during my lunch break. The whole thing came together in about 45 minutes once I got going. Has anyone else had a project that just needed the right moment to wrap up?

Honestly I used to be one of those people who thought you had to sit down and grind through a project no matter what. Deadlines are deadlines and all that. But then I had this wiring diagram for a weird old commercial building that sat in my truck for almost a year. One slow Wednesday I pulled it out and had it sorted in under an hour. I guess sometimes your brain needs to marinate on something before it's ready to spit it out. So yeah I get why you waited that long.
