I had the worst writing week after my neighbor's dog ate my notebook
It was a Moleskine filled with three months of prompt ideas, gone in one chew session. Anyone have a system for backing up handwritten notes that doesn't feel like a chore?

My building's super leaves the laundry room door open and I've lost two good socks to a poodle mix this month. For notes, I take a picture with my phone right after I write anything important and toss it in a locked album. It takes ten seconds, way less painful than rewriting whole pages. What kind of stuff was in your notebook?

Oh man, the "locked album" trick @brooke533 mentioned is a lifesaver. I started doing that after my cat knocked a full coffee mug onto my open journal. I just snap a pic of each page every Sunday while I'm watching TV, and it's saved me from my own clumsiness more than once.
