Shoutout to that future city prompt for changing how I see car culture

Always figured more cars meant progress, but writing from the view of a kid breathing bad air flipped me. Now I'm all about those bike lane stories, lol.

Yeah, that's what got me too, like @iris_west said about space for people. I just started walking more and it honestly feels better.

Right, that shift hits hard when you frame it through someone living with the results. Stories are powerful that way, they make the cost real. I keep coming back to how much space we give to parked cars, acres of it, when that could be trees or places for kids to play. It's not about taking something away, but asking what we gain. A city built for people first just feels lighter, you know? Like a deep breath after being stuck inside too long.
