That writing prompt about an empty room took me 3 days to finish, here's why
I spent a full weekend staring at a blank page trying to describe a single abandoned gas station outside of Tucson before realizing the problem was I kept adding details nobody asked for, so has anyone else hit a wall where simplicity beats description every time?

Honestly, I think the extra details are what make it worth reading. A gas station outside Tucson is just a building until you mention the faded soda sign or the heat waves off the pavement, that's where the story lives.
