The library return bin gave me a plot twist I didn't see coming

I dropped off a stack of books last Tuesday and noticed a Post-it note tucked in one of them, someone had written 'read this if you're stuck on chapter 9.' It turned out to be a whole outline for a mystery novel, and now I'm wondering if I should use it or just... no, it's too good to ignore. Has anyone else ever found random writing notes in borrowed books?

Used to think finding something like that in a library book was just a lazy student's stash of notes, not worth a second look. Then one time I found a half-done crossword with answers that completely changed how I read the next chapter. Changed my mind real quick about that. A mystery outline someone left behind is basically a free cheat code, you'd be crazy not to at least see where it goes. Just don't feel bad about using it, that note was meant to find someone.
