Vent: That advice about log retention from a senior analyst saved my butt
Got told I was hoarding too many logs from our firewalls, kept 90 days instead of 30 like they said. Last week a breach hit and we traced it back to day 45, wouldve missed it if I ignored them. Anyone else get pushback on keeping logs longer than policy says?
