Changed my mind about influencer marketing after a bad experience with a local bakery
I used to think influencer marketing was a waste of money for small businesses. But last month, a bakery down the street from me in Philadelphia paid a local food blogger $200 for a single Instagram post, and their weekend sales went up about 30% for two weeks straight. I talked to the owner, and she said the post brought in over 50 new customers who mentioned the blogger by name. That made me realize I was wrong to write it off so quickly. Has anyone else had a similar flip on something you thought was useless at first?

Do you ever have one of those moments where you realize you've been judging something based purely on your own stubborn assumptions...? Because yeah, I've been there. I used to roll my eyes at any kind of sponsored post, like I was too cool for it or something. Then I accidentally clicked on an ad for a tiny soap shop run by a lady in Ohio, bought three bars, and now I'm hooked. So I guess my pride cost me $200 in fancy soap, but at least I learned something.
