Had a chat with a local business owner that totally flipped my view on Facebook ads

I was talking to this guy who runs a landscaping company in Austin, and he told me he spends $200 a month on Facebook ads and gets like 15 leads from it. He said he just targets people within 10 miles and uses before and after photos from his own jobs. It hit me different because I've been overcomplicating my campaigns with all these interest layers, and his simple approach is crushing it. Has anyone else found that keeping your targeting tight to a specific radius works way better than broad stuff?

Did you see that study about how local targeting outperforms broad by like 40%?

Ha! I embarrassingly spent $200 on ads once and got zero leads, so @skylergrant probably has the right idea.
