Had to pick between a $500 monthly ad budget for Facebook or Google Ads for my shop's website...
Went with Google for six months and got more clicks, but the sales didn't really follow. Anyone else find one platform just brings window shoppers?

I read a marketing blog that called Google Ads "high intent, low commitment" traffic for certain products. The writer said if your item needs explaining or is an impulse buy, Facebook's detailed targeting often works better. They used the example of a fancy kitchen gadget, where Google searchers just compare prices but Facebook ads can make someone want it.

Yeah, the "more clicks but sales didn't follow" thing hits home. I was all in on Google Ads for a long time because the traffic numbers looked so good. But I was selling custom wood signs, and people would click just to see the price or get ideas, then leave. Switched some budget to Facebook, targeting people interested in home DIY, and while I got fewer clicks, the people who came were actually ready to buy. It made me realize intent on Google isn't always buying intent.
