My email list got flagged as spam right before a big launch
It happened Tuesday night, right as I was about to send a campaign for a new product. My ESP said the domain reputation tanked because a bunch of old emails went to inactive addresses. Has anyone else had to rebuild sender score from scratch?

Oh man, that's the absolute worst timing. Did your ESP give you any clear steps to start fixing it? I had something similar happen last year and it was a slow crawl back, just sending to super engaged folks for a while. Really feels like starting over.

I mean, is a slow crawl back even that bad? My list got flagged once and I just sent a normal campaign the next week. The open rate dipped maybe 2% and it was fine. Sometimes I think we make a bigger deal out of deliverability than it really is.

Disagree a bit with the idea it's no big deal. That 2% dip can hide a much bigger drop in inbox placement, which is what really hurts. Rowanf64's point about the slow crawl back is the more common, and painful, reality for most people.
