My old blog post from 2019 just hit 10,000 views this month.
I wrote it as a basic guide to using Google Analytics, and it sat quiet for years. Now it's getting more traffic than my new stuff, which feels backwards. Do you think old content can ever be more useful than what you're making now?

Yeah, that's totally normal. My 2017 post on fixing a specific WordPress error still brings in most of my traffic. The basics don't change, and Google rewards content that fully answers a simple question. I'd look at that old post and see if you can add a short update section at the top. Maybe link to your newer posts for related, more advanced tips. It turns that old winner into a hub that can pull people into your current work.

Forget backwards, that's how search works. People aren't looking for what's new, they're looking for answers. Your old post probably solves a basic, common problem that never really changes.
