Rant: I used to chase EVERY viral trend on social media, now I stick to one platform
Two years ago I was trying to post on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and even Pinterest all at once. It was a MESS. I was spending like 3 hours a day repurposing the same video for each platform and getting maybe 50 views total. Then I sat down and looked at my actual numbers from a 6-month period. TikTok was driving 80% of my site traffic even though I only had 200 followers there. So I dropped everything else cold turkey and focused ONLY on posting short clips about coffee brewing tips. Now I hit 15k followers last week and my traffic doubled. My question is: am I missing out by ignoring other platforms or is doubling down on one channel the smarter move? Has anyone else gone all-in on just one platform and regretted it later?

Yeah focusing all your energy on one thing is way smarter than spreading yourself thin.

Three years of doing the freelance thing taught me the opposite actually. I tried the whole "one client, one focus" route and when that contract ended I was scrambling for two months to find work. Spreading out across a few different projects kept me stable when things got quiet in one area. It's like having a few different income streams instead of putting all your eggs in one basket. Not saying you're wrong for some folks it works great, just depends on your situation I guess.
