Spent $300 on Facebook ads for a client last month and got zero conversions

A client's nephew set up the campaign targeting totally wrong and I didn't catch it until after the money was gone, anyone else deal with clients who let family members mess with ad accounts?

$300 is a cheap lesson honestly.

Thought I knew enough to catch mistakes too until I got burned the same way.

People let family members mess with everything these days, not just ad accounts. My neighbor let his brother in law "fix" his truck's transmission and it cost him twice as much to undo the damage. Same thing happens with taxes, home renovations, even medical advice. Everyone thinks their cousin or uncle knows what they're doing because they read something online once. Gotta set boundaries and tell clients straight up that only the people you hire get access to the ad account, no exceptions.
