Split testing landing pages made me rethink my whole approach

I ran two versions of the same ad for a client in Austin last month, one with a long form and one with just a single CTA button. The short one converted at 3.8% versus 1.2% for the long one, and honestly I've been overcomplicating this stuff for years. Has anyone else seen simpler pages crush it way harder than the polished ones?

Read a study last year that said attention spans for landing pages are basically nothing, so yeah, fewer choices almost always wins. People just want the next step spelled out, not a damn essay.
