Unpopular opinion: Most SEO tools are just selling you data you could get for free

I spent $300 a month on SEMrush for a year before I realized I can get the same keyword insights just by searching on Google and looking at the autofill and related searches at the bottom. Has anyone else found a paid tool that felt like a total rip off once you dug into it?

Did Moz's page checker ever tell you something you couldn't figure out in ten minutes of browsing a competitor site?

Wait, are we talking about all SEO tools or just SEMrush? I paid for Moz for like six months and the only thing I really used was the page optimization checker, which honestly just tells you to put your keyword in the title and H1.
