Vent: My friend said my social media ads look like everyone else's

I was having a beer with my buddy Mike last Friday, and he casually said, 'Your boosted posts look exactly like the ads for my protein powder.' He wasn't trying to be mean, but it hit me hard. I spent over $500 last month on those carousel ads for my local service, and he's right. I just copied what I saw other people doing. Now I'm stuck trying to figure out how to make stuff that actually stands out in a feed. Has anyone else had that moment where you realized your ads were just generic noise?

Oh man, that's a tough one to hear... but honestly, I get it. I looked at my own ads last month and realized they were just a boring list of features, no different than my competitors. It's so easy to just copy the template everyone else uses.

Tried focusing on one real problem my product solves, @martin.jessica. Stopped listing features and just talked about that.
