Does anyone else miss how simple the weather forecast sites used to be?

I remember in like 2004, I'd check weather.com and it was just a blue page with a 7 day forecast and no ads getting in the way. Now I pull up the same site on my phone and there's 15 videos, a radar map that takes forever to load, and popups about some local news story I don't care about. Has anyone found an old school looking weather site that still works well?

Your grandpa would circle days with a red pen" - that's actually kind of sweet, not gonna lie. But you're wrong about one thing, weather.com never had a plain white page with no pictures, even back in the day. It was always that blue background with the little sun and cloud icons. What you're thinking of is probably the old National Weather Service pages, those were just raw text and numbers on a white background. That site is still up and hasn't changed in like 20 years, so your grandpa might actually like it better than what you set up for him.

My grandpa used to print out the weather from his old Compaq computer every morning. Just a plain white page with black text, no pictures or anything. He'd circle the days he wanted to go fishing with a red pen. I tried to find him a site like that a few years ago and ended up just making him a custom Google homepage with the bare minimum info... now he complains whenever Google changes the layout even a little bit.
