Found a GeoCities page from 1997 that roasted my site design
Back in like 2009 I was digging through the Wayback Machine and stumbled on some old GeoCities page from New Jersey. The owner had a whole rant calling my website layout "ugly" and said my animated GIFs were "tacky garbage." I actually went back and simplified my whole color scheme after that. Has anyone else gotten roasted by a random internet stranger's feedback from 15 years ago?

Always thought old site criticism was just bitter nerds. Then I dug up a 2003 review calling my font choices "aggressively bad." Made me rethink my whole design philosophy overnight.

Wait, did they call them "aggressively bad" or did they use caps and bold too? I've seen some brutal forum posts from back then where people acted like bad kerning was a war crime or something. At least you got a real wakeup call out of it instead of just some vague "design needs work" comment.
