Found a Geocities site from 1998 about UFOs in Nebraska

I was digging through old internet archives last night and found this Geocities page some guy made about UFO sightings in Omaha from 1998. He had hand-drawn diagrams of ships and even wrote a guest book entry asking if anyone else saw lights over the cornfields. Anyone else stumble on old local weirdness like this?

Saw one of those sites back in the day and spent way too long trying to decode crop circles with a Bible verse cipher myself. Turns out I just can't read maps, let alone secret government messages.

oh wait you're totally right about the shut down date, my bad on that. but the crop circle stuff is wild, i remember finding a geocities page that had these super detailed drawings of the formations along with a claim that the govt was using them to test secret microwave weapons. the guy who made it had a whole section on how to decode the patterns using a bible verse cipher. it was honestly more entertaining than some netflix docs i've seen lately.

Actually, Geocities shut down in 2009, not 1998 - the sites themselves were from the late 90s but the archive you found is probably from a mirror site that preserved them. I've been down that rabbit hole too, found a whole page dedicated to crop circles in Kansas from 1997.
