Found an old Geocities page from 1998 that still had a working guestbook
I was looking up old band websites last night and stumbled on a Geocities page from 1998. The background was that terrible star pattern and there were animated fire gifs everywhere. I clicked the guestbook link and it actually loaded with real entries from 1999. People were leaving comments about dial-up speeds and asking if anyone had a copy of Winamp skins. It made me realize how much internet interaction used to be about sharing little pieces of ourselves instead of just scrolling. Has anyone else found an old page with a working guestbook recently?

I mean it's cool and all but you're kind of romanticizing a time when pages took five minutes to load and half the guestbook entries were people just testing if it worked.
